Suspect Flees Police, Runs Red Light
The incident began when a Spokane Valley deputy attempted to stop a Subaru vehicle without license plates that was driving eastbound on Sprague near McDonald Avenue. Instead of complying, the driver of the Subaru accelerated through a red light, crashing into a Honda that was headed southbound on McDonald Avenue. The impact of the collision was so severe that the Honda was pushed into a truck that was yielding to traffic, preparing to turn left onto Sprague.
Victims Sustain Life-Threatening Injuries
The driver and one of the passengers of the Honda sustained injuries that may be life-threatening, while another passenger in the Honda suffered non-life-threatening injuries. All three individuals were immediately transported to the hospital for emergency medical treatment. The driver of the truck that was struck sustained only minor injuries.
Suspect Apprehended and Charged
The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Boddy S. Million Jr., was detained at the scene and transported to the hospital for evaluation.
